Welcome to Hotel Fanø Badeland

Hotel Fanø Badeland is a modern holiday resort on the island of Fanø. During winter the sometime harsh winds sweeping across the wide beaches are in contrast to the light and bright coloured interior of the resort. As you enter the reception with lush plants and friendly staff you immediately feel closer to the southern hemisphere. 

The resort is built in three stages from 1984 to 1992 and is situated very close to Denmark’s whitest and widest sandy beach.  Adjacent to Hotel Fanø Badeland you will find the only seaside link golf course in Denmark, founded in 1902. Also outdoor tennis courts and a mini golf course are located at the doorstep of the resort.  At Hotel Fanø Badeland we offer numerous indoor activities of which most are to be enjoyed by our guests free of charge.

Nature and culture join hands on the island of Fanø and provide an idyllic setting for an unforgettable holiday for the entire family. The old cobblestone villages on Fanø breathe local history and exude Danish coziness. In the summer time you have the opportunity to spend hours of solitude in natural heath areas or in the plantations, where your only companions are roe deer, foxes and a great variety of birds. Naturally, the beach is always an attraction, and hardly any two days present the same light over the North Sea.

Some days during the summer season when there is absolutely no wind, the northernmost beach and the Søren Jessen sand stretches appear as an infinite sand desert just off the coast, where phantasmagoria creates the optical illusion of large ships sailing on the immense expanse of sand. On such days seaside activities virtually hum with happy people enjoying the ocean, the air, and the sun.

In autumn and winter, the number of vacationers gradually tapers off, but here is your chance to experience the ocean in all its might, when the waves mount the dunes and the roaring storm makes it impossible to stand still in the wind.
